Chuck stated the staff destroyed his vehicle. He had a previous experience with the business, when they completed a clutch service. He had only driven the vehicle 1,400 miles, and the clutch seemed loose. He was advised to bring his vehicle in for service on December 5, 2012. The staff advised they would take a look, and get back to him within a couple of days. On December 6, the staff called, and advised the clutch was fine. However, he has a transmission issue. They started to explain how rare the transmission was, how expensive the transmission was, and the cost for the transmission service. At the time, he did not have the money available, and decided to take his vehicle. When he picked up the vehicle, he immediately noticed he had only the first through fourth gears. He did not have fifth, sixth, or reverse gear available. As a result, he spoke with the staff, and they advised whatever broke, the problem got worse. His vehicle had been in working condition with all 6 gears, and it had reverse capability. As a result of the level of service and support he received, he is going to take legal action. He is also going to report the business to the Better Business Bureau. When he had worked with the business previously, he knew an employee who had worked with Camaro vehicles, and he worked on his vehicles at the business. The staff said he left the company, and took a city job. As a result, he felt the information given should have given him a red flag regarding the service at the business. The staff has also advised they would charge him a total of $3,700 for the transmission part and the service. However, he found a transmission for $1,500 and he could get the work completed for $600. They are not a trustworthy staff. He would not recommend the business, nor would he bring his vehicle back in for repair service needs again.
